Put together they make a great solo incorporating both the pentatonic and Ionian Scale. Important is that you note the nuances in the tab below - bends, vibrato, hammer-ons and pull offs and these are vitak little touches that will make your solo sound awesome! Where there is a bar count reference, count each beat of a bar (1,2,3,4 - 1,2,3,4) and then measure the amount of notes that bar should contain from the riff description. Where there are big numbers (36 notes per bar for example) think about the technique you use to add speed! About The Riffs : The Riffs are a rock and punk band from Portland, Oregon . They have released three full-length albums, all on indie labels . The Riffs are heavily influenced by early punk bands, most notably the Sex Pistols . They were also fans of Protopunk like Eddie and the Hot Rods and The Velvet Underground . The songs and lyrics (written by all members of the band) told a bleak story of growing up in the Portland punk scene, presumably in poverty, afflicted with drug addiction, and a "No Way Out" Their music is influenced by genres - punk rock , rock and roll.
