About Alfredo Le Pera - Alfredredo Le Pera was Argentine journalist, dramatist and lyricist . He died in a plane accident with Carlos Gardel when he was at the height of his career . Le Pera was born in São Paulo, Brazil, Argentina in 1902 . He worked for Paramount Pictures while living in Paris and in 1932 he worked with Carlos Gardel . Gardel and Le Pera were coming to the end of a promotional tour for the film El dia que me quieras . The plane in which they were taking off from Medellin, Colombia crashed into another plane on the runway, killing them both and most of the other passengers on board .
