About Defenders of the Faith : The album was certified platinum by the RIAA . The album spawned the singles "Freewheel Burning", "Some Heads Are Gonna Roll", and "Love Bites" The LP and cassette tape were released on 4 January 1984 . The album was recorded at Ibiza Sound Studios, Spain, and mixed from September to November 1983 . A remastered CD was released in May 2001 . Defenders of the Faith featured short, up-tempo metal anthems with stadium shout-along choruses . The track "Rock Hard Ride Free" is actually a re-recording of a track entitled "Fight for Your Life" which was recorded during Screaming For Vengeance sessions . Defenders of the Faith's most popular songs include Freewheel Burning,Some Heads Are Gonna Roll,Love Bites. It had an affiliation to bands - Defenders of the Faith,Judas Priest. Its music is influenced by genres - heavy metal.
