About Vision Thing (album) : Vision Thing is the third and most recent studio album by English gothic rock band the Sisters of Mercy . It was released on 22 October 1990 through Merciful Release and East West Records Andreas Bruhn auditioned for a new guitarist . John Perry turned down the offer to join them on writing a new album . Bruhn was called to audition a week after turning in his demo tape . Former Sigue Sigue Sputnik bassist Patricia Morrison was replaced by Tony James . Morrison was hired by Eldritch on the day her predecessor, Craig Adams, resigned . It had an affiliation to bands - Vision Thing,the Sisters of Mercy. Its music is influenced by genres - gothic rock hard rock.
