And then the devil tunred away And with him, my chances at the pearly gates But I had to follow him and change my fate c
And on that fateful Halloween night I remembered a story about Suge Knight So I pulled out my gun and shot the devil 6 times
He bled red blood and shat red stool I thought I looked pretty goddamn cool Then I remembered- the devil is immune to bullets
I looked down in horror and let out a howl, knelt down and pulled back the things bloody cowl I looked at the face and it was my neighbor Raul
Shit! Right! It's Halloween Some people dress up, and trick or treat So I said "Raul, that's my bad."
Raul looked at me and began to speak His dying voice as quiet as a mouse's feet With his last words he said "August, Fuck you"
And I said Raul thats pretty mean and I left him there to die in the street then i got in my car and i began to drive
Then I look in the mirror, and what do i see A cop car lights on following me, the goddamned pig saw the entire thing
There were two choices I could make, I could fight the cop or make an escape, but the guy looked big, so i pulled over and ran towards the lake
Through the deep dark forest I made my way, till i was met with the shores of that rocky bay, now my backs to the water, an army of lights in the wood
And its at this moment I know I'm done, and i start begging for help from anyone, even though i knew nobody would answer my prayers
Then I turn around cause there's something I hear, a splashing sound that fills me with fear, I see a black cloaked man walkin towards me from out of the lake
He says you "thought nobody would hear your prayers, but I did son and I'm here to take care, of this sticky situation that you've caught yourself in"
Do something for me and I'll do something for you, it's a quid pro quo that'll carry you through, to the other side and i promise you'll be ok
I say a devil's promise is built on lies, i'd rather take my chances with the lawman's ire, than give to you my soul everlasting
come on now i dont ask that much, want you to sing some songs and tell the truth, bout how the devil, really aint that bad of a guy
you're right that's not too much to ask, but i am afraid to say i'll have to pass, beacuse i cant sing any songs or play no instruments
now this parts where it gets really good, the devil pulled from under his hood, a great guitar wreathed in flames and blood
He said you'll play this thing and play it well, and your soul won't be condemned to hell, make a halloween album and I'll get these cops off your ass
I looked him in the face said well in that case, And i took that guitar and gave it an embrace and I played a perfect note and the devil walked back in the lake
Police burst through the trees and I sent them to their knees with a howling C make the pigs scream "It's Halloween"
And that's the end of the tale I'll tell of cops and demons from the depths of hell
So warn your father and warn your mother an acoustic terror has awoken from its Halloween slumber
